The Jewish Public Affairs Committee of California stands in solidarity with our friends and neighbors in California’s black communities. We are angered and deeply wounded by the horrific murders of George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, Tony McDade, and Ahmaud Arbery. But we are not shocked. Theirs are the just the latest black lives to be discarded by entrenched, systemic racism that exists in our society, policing and criminal justice system.

Our tradition commands us to repair a broken world. JPAC is committed to strongly advocate for the needs of the underrepresented and marginalized members of our California community, and will continue to fight to dismantle structural racism and advance justice, dignity, and equality for every Californian.
