Announcing our new Executive Director: David Bocarsly

We are pleased to announce that the next leader of the Jewish Public Affairs Committee of California will be David Bocarsly. David’s official term as Executive Director will begin on January 10th, 2022. JPAC’s current Interim Executive Director, Allison Gingold, will continue to serve in that role through January 9th, 2022, at which time she will resume her role as Board Chair.

David is currently the Consultant for the California Legislative Jewish Caucus, whose 18 elected officials serve as the Jewish voice in the California State Legislature. He is an esteemed and highly regarded public affairs professional with extensive knowledge of California’s unique Jewish communities and legislative landscapes. Those who have worked closely with David in the past know him to be an invaluable asset and leader to any organization, committee, or coalition.

In addition to leading the Jewish Caucus’ agenda, David has worked for several campaigns and elected officials, including U.S. Congressman Jerry Nadler and State Senator Ben Allen. He was a Coro Fellow in Public Affairs, UCLA Student Body President, and earned his Master of Public Policy degree from USC with a Certificate in Social Justice.

We thank our Interim Executive Director, Allison Gingold, for leading JPAC diligently from June until David assumes his role. We appreciate the entire executive search committee for their tireless efforts to select our next Executive Director. David has a steadfast commitment to ensuring our Jewish community’s voice is heard in California’s legislature, and we are thrilled to welcome him into this new leadership role with JPAC.
