Who Should Attend the JPAC Capitol Summit?

The JPAC Capitol Summit is open to Jewish community members, advocates, and allies across California who are eager to engage in state-level advocacy. Whether you’re a seasoned pro or exploring advocacy for the first time, the Summit provides a meaningful opportunity to learn, connect, and create change.

Each year, we see CEOs, board members, volunteers, young professionals, organization staff, students, advocates, and caring community members participate from all over the state.

In 2025, we’re expecting over 600 participants.

When and Where Is JPAC Capitol Summit 2025?
  • Start Time: Monday, May 5, 2025 at 3:00pm
  • End Time: Tuesday, May 6, 2025 at 4:00pm
  • Locations:
  • Sheraton Grand Sacramento Hotel, 1230 J St, Sacramento
  • Capitol Annex Swing Space, 1021 O St, Sacramento
  • Most of the conference will take place at the Sheraton. Advocates will walk to the Capitol for lobby meetings on Tuesday, May 6th, from 2:00-4:00pm. The Capitol is a 10-minute walk from the Sheraton.
What Can I Expect at the Summit?

Participants will have the chance to:

  • Attend educational sessions led by prominent lawmakers and activists
  • Engage in direct lobbying efforts at the State Capitol
  • Network with elected officials, leaders from Jewish organizations, and fellow advocates
What is the Cost, and What Does That Include?

Extended Registration rates are $325 until registration closes on April 21, 2025.

Registration rates include full access to all educational programming and the lobbying experience. Three meals and reception appetizers and beverages are also included.

Travel and accommodations are not included, and participants are expected to make their own arrangements.

Are Scholarships Available?

Yes! Scholarships are offered to students and young professionals. You can  apply here.

We believe cost should not prevent anyone from attending. If financial assistance would make your participation possible, please email  helena@jpac-cal.org  to discuss registration discounts.

What Is the Cancellation Policy?

You may cancel your ticket for a full refund (excluding Whova fees) until April 7, 2025. Alternatively, registrations can be transferred to another individual within your organization. To cancel or transfer your registration, please contact  helena@jpac-cal.org .

Is There a One-Day Rate for the Summit?

No, there is no day rate available. Full registration is required for attendance at any part of the event.

What Time Should I Plan to Arrive and Leave?

The Summit begins May 5th at 3:00pm, and final lobby meetings finish May 6th at 4:00pm.

Please plan your travel with enough time to check in to your room (there is often a line at check in) and get ready (business attire) prior to the conference start time. After lobby visits, you will have to walk back to the Sheraton and budget time for the front desk to bring you your luggage.

For those flying, we recommend landing no later than 1pm on May 5th and returning home no earlier than 6pm on May 6th.

How Do I Book a Hotel?

Once you register for the Summit, you’ll receive a confirmation email with a link to reserve a room in our room block at the Sheraton Grand Sacramento Hotel at a discounted rate (subject to availability).

Will Meals Be Provided?

Yes! Your registration includes three meals plus reception appetizers and drinks:

  • Monday: Reception and dinner
  • Tuesday: Breakfast and lunch

All menus are kosher-style, with vegan and pescatarian options available. Glatt kosher meals will be provided upon request, which you may select during registration.

Will There Be Security?

Absolutely. JPAC is dedicated to the safety of all attendees. Security personnel will be on-site throughout the Summit, and participants must wear their conference badges at all times.

What Are This Year’s Policy Priorities?

This year’s Summit priorities will focus on countering antisemitism in K-12 schools, and supporting vulnerable communities. JPAC will be posting its specific policy priorities a few weeks before the conference. Please check back again soon.
