JPAC’s Virtual Advocacy Day provided an empowering opportunity to engage in the political process and learn about and advocate for the wide range of issues that are important to the Jewish community. What Is JPAC Advocacy Day?

JPAC’s annual Advocacy Day is the culminating effort of months of research, lobbying, coalition building and convening to bring concerned citizens from the Jewish community to Sacramento to meet with key legislators and staff on issues that impact our community, whether it is protecting the social safety net, early childhood education, or anti-Semitism. Together we can make the voice of the California Jewish community heard where it counts.

JPAC’s Advocacy Day provides opportunities to experience the thrill of being in the State Capitol with the largest coalition of Jewish organizations in the nation; meet elected officials and engage in meaningful conversations with them; hear from issue experts and legislators on cutting edge issues facing Californians; and network with colleagues and friends from across California.

JPAC Advocacy Days have featured speakers including California Secretary of State Alex Padilla, California Attorney General Xavier Becerra, State Treasurer Bill Lockyer, former Senate President pro Tem Darrell Steinberg, former Assembly Speaker John A. Pérez, Insurance Commissioner Dave Jones,  State Controller John Chiang, former Senate President pro Tem Kevin de Leon, and former UC President Mark Yudof.
